MCG IMPORTANT NOTES

On this page you will find running post of important matters that are of concern to MCG and it's guests. The home page on the website was getting a bit over full of notices thus it was time for them to have their own area. If you have a notice that you believe belongs here and have already posted it in the announcements section of the MCG forums please contact webmaster@mcgrove.com with details of what you would like posted. The topics will be reviewed by MCG and if approved it will be added here as well.

...From Laura's son.....

Loved Ones:

I apologize in advance for the delay in logistical direction vis-a-vis funeral arrangements. We are still in the process of determining the final resting spot; however, everything else is in place. There are several hotels in Bremen, GA, to choose from; average price is around $75 per night. Please note that Dad has plenty of room if you wish to stay at the house. Here are the remaining details:

Viewing at the Funeral Home:
Family: 4:00 - 5:00 PM on Sunday, 1.3.10.
Family and Friends: 5:00 - 8:00 PM on Sunday, 1.3.10.

Funeral Home Address:
Hightower Funeral Home
318 Bremen, GA 30110
770.537.2375

Finger foods and drinks will be provided at Dad's house after the viewing.

The funeral will be on Monday, 1.4.10, at 2:00 PM; funeral home address reflected above. Finger foods and drinks will be provided at Dad's house after the funeral service.

Dad's directive is to set up 3 separate 529 college plans for the grandkids in lieu of sending flowers. I am going to set these accounts up on Monday. If you would like to donate, simply send your contribution to me at the following address:

Chad and Sharlene
2120 Tigger Trace NE
Marietta, GA 30066

I will proportionally apply the contributions to the three accounts.

Overall, Dad is doing better. The unexpected passing of Laura has devastated him. The outpouring of love and support has been a tremendous help. Please continue to pray for him and the family. For those that will make the trip, safe travels. For those that are unable to make the trip, we will keep you apprised every step of the way.

Love,
Chad

To all,

First and foremost I wish to send my apology for improperly addressing the July newsletter. I was in NY dealing with the death of my Mom and not thinking clearly, it will not happen again.

Secondly I want to remind everyone that we have the new Tuesday night chats running. You and your friends are invited and encouraged to join us all in “The Grove Friends” room on the AOL AIM chat servers. This chat is a part of the AIM Network and you can sign in with your AIM information OR click the "Get an Account" link in the “chat here” area of the MCG website (www.mcgrove.com) and simply sign up for an AIM log-in. Once you have done this you will be able to use the chat any time from our website or from any of the AOL chat areas. The official Tuesday chat starts at 7PM EST and runs till the last folks on turn in for the night. This is a great opportunity to catch up with old friends or for folks curious about MCG to come and ask questions. Please keep in mind this is a PUBLIC chat server and keep it clean. For those of you looking for the more adult side of chat please invite your friend to a private room outside of the public frame.

Of course the chat room is always open 24/7 and you are encouraged to use it at any and all times to aid in rebuilding its usage.

Hugs,
Fred Hendrickson

HAPPY 4TH JULY!!

6/30/09

Dear POMA members,
I got a phone call today telling me 4-5 groups of people are already cooking out Sat. July 4th same time I planned to have ours.  This doesn't seem advantageous for POMA.  I cannot see spending that amount of money to not get it back.  POMA money belongs to all of us and I just cannot warrant wasting it.  So,,,  I suggest we have a POMA cookout July 17/18th weekend.  That weekend is already booked and I will have Fred post it on the website so everyone will know.  Also Labor Day weekend will be a good time too, I can let everyone know NOT to cookout that weekend.  I hate to have to do this but I feel I have no choice.  No one will change their plans.  I have tried to change a few.  The ones i spoke with said they will cooperate fully for the next one!

On another note,  I have a grandbaby due this month actually July 27th.  My daughter has gone into premature labor several times and the Dr. says she will not make it even close to that date.  I would be afraid it might cut into my presence at July 4th.  Just a feeling.  I will be auctioning off 2 of the beautiful baskets that Ms BECCA made, so be prepared to help me sell tickets for this.  Thanks everyone for all you give.

Love,

OK we are trying a new chat solution that thus far seems to be working well. This new chat is a part of the AIM Network you can sign in with your AIM information OR click the "Get An Account" link and simply sign up for an AIM log-in. Once you have done this you will be able to use the chat any time. Please remember this is part of a public chat service ..... keep it clean. Save your "dirty talk" for the private message windows.

One other note... in case you are somewhere that you do not want to log on to the MCG site for any reason you can also get to us online by going to http://chat.aim.com/chats/special-interests/the-grove-friends-

We have received many inquires as to what POMA is and is about. We hope this letter from the POMA President will help explain.mcgpoma@gmail.com for full details.

From the desk of LPW;

Thank you for your interest in POMA and Mountain Creek Grove.

POMA was created for several reasons.
1) To have a "special" voice in all facets of Mountain Creek Grove happenings, decisions, special improvements and/or ideas.

2) To assist in special fund raisings for projects/improvements for Mountain Creek Grove.

3) To also become a part of a "elite" team of members to guide others in a SUCCESSFUL resort.

I plan to hold meetings once a month probably on a Sunday morning to get these ideas together so I can present them to MCG owners.  The association fee is $25.00/year.

As the President of this association I promise to inform every member of all happenings with POMA.   This idea was put together by MCG's investors and management. I am proud and pleased to be a part of this.

If you are interested feel free to write me back.  Give me your name, e-mail address and phone number.  I will respect everyone’s privacy, by not giving out your info and keep this via e-mail and/or in person at MCG if at all possible.

The first meeting will be the 3rd Sunday of this month, April 19, 2009 at 10:00 am. You may pay your dues and register at the meeting if you wish.

If you would like to join POMA or have any questions please contact Paige at

Hey all,

I need to get a message out to all members etc. a general HELP message per say.

As many of you already know the charter house has been given a complete interior make over during the last two week period. Now that the hard work is almost done all we have left is to do the "decorating" We only have a small amount of funds left to accomplish this so we are open to everyone's input (this is your Grove) We are also very open to donations of items that will help accomplish this as quickly as possible so that we can have the place ready for a grand reopening this coming weekend. I am asking for  the members help.  I need anything and everything that would help us in decoration up there. Large rolls of material, rope lights, mood lights, etc. I would LOVE it for everyone to pitch in and be able to say that we all had a personal hand in the great improvements going on at MCG I am open to all ideas and supplies. Anything donated would become the property of MCG, we are not seeking loaner items LOL.

I want to thank all of you that I know are going to come to my aid in the next couple of days. MCG loves you and so do I, this is what makes MCG the best place to be in the world!

THANKS,
LPW

As part of the complete makeover of the new and improved MCG we are updating the front gate remote control codes. Thus as of Sunday March 29th 2009 ALL gate remotes will cease to operate the MCG front gate. You must use the gate phone to call the office for that day's code in order to enter the resort. Upon entering the resort please report to the office with your gate remote and after verifying that you are an annual member in good standing or an on-site resident a member of our staff will be happy to reprogram your remote for you. If your account is in the rears you must bring it up to date at which time we will be happy to reprogram your gate remote. If you do not have a remote and are an annual MCG member in good standing and you would like to purchase a remote please  visit www.mcgstuff.com for details on how to get your own remote.
